Every year, vast quantities of plastic bottles contribute to global waste challenges, ending up in landfills, oceans, and urban environments. As we marked Earth Day, we reflected on the measurable progress we’ve made in reducing our environmental impact through product innovation.
Since 2011, our mattresses have featured e-Fibre comfort layers made with polyester derived from recycled plastic bottles – more than 70% of which comes from recycled sources. Our Enhanced mattresses go even further, incorporating Advance e-Fibre – offering additional independently verified environmental benefits.
By choosing develop comfort layers using recycled polyester fibres instead of traditional foam, we’ve significantly lowered our carbon footprint – preventing millions of kilograms of carbon emissions each year. In just the past 12 months alone, this initiative has prevented over 16 million plastic bottles from going to waste. Altogether, we’ve repurposed more than 200 million bottles, giving plastic waste a new positive purpose.
