Sustainability at Jay-Be

Introduction

At Jay-Be, sustainability is at the heart of everything we do. As one of the most trusted and widely distributed bed brands, we take pride in creating innovative products that enhance comfort, promote health, and reduce environmental impact. Our partnerships with hundreds of specialist furniture stores and many of the world’s most renowned retailers allow us to bring our unique, high-quality products into homes across the globe.

Our Feel Good, Sleep Well Philosophy

Jay-Be has been leading the way in Folding Beds, Sofa Beds, and Mattresses for decades, combining smart design with responsible production. Our “Feel Good, Sleep Well” philosophy reflects a commitment to ethical trading and sustainability, from sourcing FSC certified wood to using recyclable materials and reducing waste.

Helping to shape the future of the industry

As part of the NBF Circular Economy Committee, Jay-Be helps shape the future of the industry. We invest in innovation to reduce our carbon footprint, with foam-free mattresses, versatile folding beds, and premium sofa beds designed for durability and sustainability.

Turning waste into action

We build sustainability into every stage of our products, starting with the materials we carefully select. That’s why we developed e-Fibre, an advanced, 100% recyclable comfort layer made by reprocessing plastic bottles. The bottles are collected, cleaned, and shredded into flakes, which are then melted down and spun into a soft, breathable fibre used throughout our mattresses and comfort layers.

This year alone, we’ve prevented over 16 million bottles from ending up in landfills, oceans, or on our streets. Since switching to e-Fibre in 2011, we’ve repurposed over 215 million bottles. It's a practical way to reduce plastic waste and a big step towards more responsible sleep solutions. With e-Fibre, we’re proving that comfort and sustainability can go hand in hand.
